Spring 2025 Schedule

  • Incoming International undergraduate first-year and transfer students: Tuesday, January 7 through Saturday, January 11
  • Incoming  domestic undergraduate first-year and transfer students:  Wednesday, January 8 through Saturday, January 11
    • Domestic Students living on campus will move in on Wednesday
    • If you will be commuting or living off-campus, you will check in for ‘Cane Kickoff on  Wednesday prior to the afternoon commuter/off-campus transfer welcome session
  • Family ’Cane Kickoff  (for families of new undergraduate first-year and transfer students):  Thursday, January 9

The Spring 2025 ’Cane Kickoff schedule is available in mid-December via the UMiami app. The app, which is free to download from both the App Store and Google Play, lists the up-to-date schedule of events and other helpful resources available during the week. Once in the app, tap the person icon in the top right corner, tap My App Experience, and select ’Cane Kickoff Orientation. No log-in or account creation is needed.

  • International Student Orientation

    MANDATORY PRE-ORIENTATION SESSION FOR ALL FIRST YEAR AND TRANSFER INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS.

    International Student Orientation is a pre-orientation program sponsored by International Student & Scholar Services for new and transferUniversity of Miami international students. ISO complements 'Cane Kickoff: Spring Orientation program for undergraduate students by providing international students with information and experiences that will assist in their transition to living and studying in the U.S.

  • Exchange Students

    This session is designed for incoming students on a university-sponsored exchange to Miami. The Study Abroad Office will be presenting processes, services, and opportunities specifically for exchange students.
