Family Orientation is an optional, but strongly encouraged two-day program that supports the parents and families of new students. Family Orientation is designed to address important issues and concerns of new undergraduate families and provides important resources, relevant information, and opportunities to connect with administrators, faculty, students, and other families.
For most of the Family Orientation program, parents and family members attend different sessions from students, because the sessions are designed to meet each group's particular needs and interests.
Family members do not have to register for Family Orientation. Students are asked to provide their family information during their Orientation registration as well as any special accommodations that are needed.
